Acea is participating again this year in the new edition of Ecomondo 2023, at the Rimini fair from 7 to 10 November.
The international event is an opportunity for discussion between industries, stakeholders, policy makers, opinion leaders and local authorities, to define the development strategies of the European Union's environmental policy.
At Fiera di Rimini Ecomondo, Acea focuses on an essential theme for the sustainable development of the planet: the importance of a circular economy, able to regenerate itself to create new value. Therefore, the main principle on which it is based is the reuse of scrap materials to feed new production cycles, reducing the waste as much as possible and creating a self-sufficient system. For years Acea has been investing in circular economy, in sustainable development, and contributing to the country’s ecological transition.
During the event, there will be the chance to explore in depth the main innovations at a technological, regulatory and market level in the green economy sectors:
The focuses of this edition: the status of national implementation of PNRR priorities and flagship projects, the restoration and regeneration of ecosystems, the sustainable use of water resources, sustainable cities, the status of the circular economy in processes and products.
In the occasion of the 2023 edition of Ecomondo, the Group presents some activities of Acea Ambiente, which promote a development model that contributes to the transition towards a sustainable ecosystem, where industrial development is combined with respect and protection of the environment.
During the event Acea will receive, for the second consecutive year, the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) Award in the category "Projects involving the adoption of energy from renewable sources with a view to energy autonomy" with the project "Increase in the exchange surface of the condenser of line 1 of the San Vittore del Lazio plant” designed to improve the energy performance of line one of the waste-to-energy plant located in the province of Frosinone.
Giovanni Rosti, CEO of Acea Ambiente, received the award. The Group Company every year manages 1.7 million tonnes of wastes and it is one of the largest national players in this field. Find out more about the Emas award.
This edition of Ecomondo is also an opportunity to present several key projects for Acea Ambiente, which is a promoter of sustainable industrial growth and it is attentive to the protection of the territory and biodiversity:
In the 200m2 exhibition space of the Rimini Fair Ecomondo, Acea is present in Pavilion D3, with workshops, conferences, panels on some of the central themes for the Group such as waste management, recycling, and the importance of a circular economy for the development of the country. On 8th and 9th November, the Acea stand will also host educational workshops on the waste management process addressed to middle and high school children, in collaboration with Ancitel Ambiente ed Energia. There will be also B2B meetings and the distribution of gadgets created specifically for the 2023 edition.
