Acea for World Energy Saving Day
The illumination of the Great Synagogue of Rome has been carried out via an intervention that enhances its characteristic features, starting with its pavilion Dome, the Drum and the surrounding 12 windows.
Next generation LED technology makes it possible to direct the light to the areas of interest, avoiding the dispersion of light and saving a considerable amount of electricity compared to a traditional system. A total of 44 floodlights with differing power and brightness have been installed, so as to highlight the numerous architectural elements. The electric control panel has an astronomical clock to automatically regulate the switching on and off of the lights based on the alternating light/dark cycle, which varies according to the seasons.
