According to Judgment 335/2008 of the Constitutional Court, a refund is the return by Acea Ato 5 of the amount of the tariff not owed for the sewage treatment service during the period from 16 October 2003 to 15 October 2008.

The application can be made within 5 years starting from 23/03/2015, via e-mail to the e-mail address: rimborso.335@aceaato5.it, or at the commercial branches (Frosinone, Cassino).
In the event of a grounded rejection (failure to apply using the available channels, non-compliant or incomplete application forms), the application can only be repeated once.

In the case of utilities which have ceased to exist, any credit will be paid by issuing a banker's draft or by bank transfer to the IBAN code provided by the applicant on the appropriate form.
In the case of active utilities, the accrued credit will be used to compensate the amounts to be paid for bills issued after the thirtieth day from receipt of the application and until the amount due has been paid.

Heirs entitled to the refund must file a declaration in lieu of affidavit. In this case, if the utility is in the name of the deceased person, the refund of the amount due is subordinate to the change in account due to a changeover as a result of death. In this case, the 5-year term begins from the date of acceptance of the account change.

If the application is not sent by the bill payer, a signed document delegating powers of signature, a copy of the ID document of the authorised person and a copy of the bill payer's ID document must be attached to the application.
