IV linea San Vittore

Description and objectives

The purpose of this series of interventions is the plant adaptation and environmental arrangement of the San Vittore waste-to-energy plant through the construction of a fourth line. The main objectives of the contract are:

  • Increase of waste and sludge treatment capacity.
  • Optimisation of the layout of some common sections of the system.
  • Improvement of the architectural insertion for the homogenisation of the entire site.

Project details:

The new line is intended for the co-incineration of waste and sludge, with the following specifications:

  • Processing capacity:
    • 50,000 tonnes/year of sewage sludge.
    • 136,000 tonnes/year of refuse-derived fuel (RDF).
    • Total capacity of 186,000 tonnes/year.

The plant is designed to operate up to 7,900 hours/year and is powered by RDF and dried/pelletised sewage sludge.
