Upgrading of biogas in biomethane at the Roma Nord Purification Plant

Description and objectives

This project focused on the construction of a new sector for the upgrading of biogas in the Roma Nord purification plant, located downstream of a new dedicated pre-treatment section. The plant has been designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and optimise service charges, continuously generating around 1,400,000 Sm³ per year of biomethane.

Project details:

  • Biogas upgrading line with nominal capacity of 260 Nm³/h.
  • Control and measurement cabinet (REMI cabinet) for controlling the quality and quantity of biomethane fed to the network.
  • Post-combustion section of the off-gas exiting the upgrading membranes.

Details and key numbers of the service

Service performed:

  • Engineering services during the execution of works (Works Management).
  • Procurement of services and supplies, and the coordination of all the work necessary to provide the Customer with the finished work in a state-of-the-art manner.
