Acea manages the integrated water service in 4 regions, following the water supply chain from resource catchment to supply and waste collection, maintaining water quality throughout the process. This section describes not only the activities and infrastructures managed by Acea in the water sector, but also the services offered to consumers via the Acea Acqua companies located in the various areas: Acea Ato 2, Acea Ato 5, Gesesa and Acea Molise.
Acea is the light of Rome, in fact, manages electricity distribution and the Capital's public and artistic lighting service: a management geared to efficiency and energy-saving, with a view to offering a top quality, environmentally friendly service.
Acea manages primarily 2 types of activity in the environmental supply chain: those pertaining to the circular economy, whose object is to valorise waste materials and transform them into resources for new production processes (energy and agricultural compost), and the waste-to-energy plants in Terni and San Vittore del Lazio.
