Emiliano Sorrenti is the Manager of Acea’s Digital & IT department.
From 2016 to July 2023 he held positions as both Group Chief Information & Technology Officer at Aeroporti di Roma S.p.A (ADR) and CEO at ADR Technology. The role of Group CIO, reporting to the CEO, was redefined during the expansion of the ADR group’s Technology department, which had become an enabling tool for accelerating the group’s service quality, infrastructure efficiency and sales performance programmes.
Owing to his organisation of ADR’s transformation plan, of which the founding pillar was the digitalisation of operational and commercial activities, Emiliano Sorrenti was elected by the CIO association as “2018 European CIO of the Year”.
From 2009 to 2016, Emiliano Sorrenti held various positions of increasing responsibility within the Vodafone group.
From 2014 to 2016, he was Chief Information Officer & Programme Management Director at Vodafone Romania. As Programme Management Director, he was responsible for cross-functional coordination and monitoring of the company’s strategic goals, as well as the coordination of corporate governance.
From 2011 to 2014, he was employed by Vodafone Italy as Head of IT Solutions & Head of IT Architecture, responsible for the planning, development and architecture of all Vodafone Italy’s IT platforms.
During the period 2009-2010, he was Head of Fast Track (Digital) at Vodafone Italy. The Fast Track group, whose creation was driven by the CEO, aimed to ensure the Time to Market for innovative services and special projects so requiring, particularly as regards the digital framework and the launch of new commercial offers.
From 1996 to 2008, Emiliano Sorrenti was employed by Accenture as Senior Manager, Communications & High Tech Market – Network Service Line (OSS & BSS, Satellite & Cable TV, Fixed & Mobile). In this role, he was involved in a number of Business & Technology Transformation projects, above all in the field of Telecommunications.
He holds a degree in Computer Science from the Sapienza University in Rome. He also attended the Vodafone Management Programme @ ESCP Business School, in Business Administration.
