In September 2023 Emilia Gagliano Candela was appointed Head of Acea’s Process and Business Transformation Function.
As an engineer, she has extensive experience in the fields of purchasing and procurement management, supply chain management and logistics. From June 2022 to September 2023 she was Chief Procurement Officer at Autostrade per l’Italia in Rome. In this role, she led a team of over 100 resources throughout Italy, for purchases worth €7 billion in various categories including civil works, maintenance services (Field Maintenance), professional services, hardware and software.
From September 2021 to May 2022, she was Global Procurement Head IT Transformation for the Vodafone group in Luxembourg, with global responsibility for IT Procurement Transformation projects. Furthermore, from October 2018 to September 2021 she was Head of Procurement for Vodafone Italia for purchases worth €2.2 billion in various categories (hardware, software, professional services, media, content, fleet and fiber). From January 2017 to September 2018, again at Vodafone Italia, she was Head of Procurement on Network categories, responsible for the purchases of materials and services for the evolution and maintenance of the fixed and mobile network.
Before joining Vodafone, Emilia Gagliano Candela was in the FCA group in Turin for over 9 years (2007-2016), most recently holding the position of Head of Logistic Procurement EMEA (June-December 2016). Previously, from April 2013 to May 2016, she held the role of Head of the International Distribution Center. In addition, from March 2010 to March 2013, she was Head of Inbound Logistic Procurement at FCA, leading the supply of logistics services for incoming flows to EMEA factories. She joined FCA in March 2007 as Senior Logistic Buyer.
She began her career as a Logistics Engineerat Ceva Logistics Italia in Turin, where she remained from May 2003 to February 2007.
From September 2022 to September 2023 Emilia Gagliano Candela was a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian joint-stock company for the Mont Blanc Tunnel (SITMB SpA).
She graduated in Management Engineering from the Polytechnic in Turin and obtained an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan.
