Ignazio Vacca has been in charge of Acea’s Public Affairs & Business Development Department since September 2023, having previously held the position of Head of Special Projects from November 2022.
From March 2021 to January 2023, he headed the Poste Italiane project “Polis: home of digital citizenship services”, within the framework of the NRRP.
From September 2019 to February 2021, he was chief of staff at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In the Poste Italiane Group, between 2010 and 2019, he was in charge of Business Development with the International Business Strategy division, following in particular Poste Italiane’s projects in Russia, Latin America, Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, and the Euromed Postal project (international payment platform led by Bancoposta).
He was Project Manager of the “Brazil Project”, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with the aim of launching a virtual mobile operator (MVNO) in the South American country, Head of Industrial Relations within the Human Resources Department, National Authority Liaison Officer within the Regulatory Affairs division, maintaining relations with the Communications Regulatory Authority (Agcom), the Italian Antitrust Authority (AGCM) and CONSOB.
Previously, from 2007 to 2010, he worked with the group’s Public affairs division, managing Poste Italiane’s relations with local Italian institutions.
He holds a First class honours degree in law from the Sapienza University in Rome, has an Executive MBA from the LUISS-Guido Carli university in Rome and attended an Executive programme in Corporate Finance, again at the LUISS business school.
