Acea for World Energy Saving Day
You can pay any bills that are not yet due or fell due less than 10 days earlier by instalments, if the requirements are met as laid down by Resolution 655/15, which came into force on 1 July 2016.
You cannot pay the bills of a utility held by a deceased person in instalments. In these cases, the supply contract must first be remedied.
If the criteria set out in Resolution 655/15 apply, and unless otherwise agreed by the parties, the plan shall have the following characteristics:
- frequency of instalments equal to the frequency of utility billing;
- number of instalments calculated as a ratio of the amount of the bill and the average amount of the bills in the last 12 months;
- charging of late payment and default interest at the ECB reference rate.
Late payment interest is calculated starting from the date when the instalment is due.
