Manuela Pagella

Manuela Pagella was appointed Head of Open Innovation at Acea Group in September 2023.

She is an experienced manager in the energy & utility industry, specializing in innovation, corporate reorganization, and change management. Throughout her career, she has been in pivotal positions in various companies and fields, leading strategic initiatives to achieve business goals.

From December 2021 until September 2023, she was Head of Smart Solutions Infrastructures at ACEA’s Chief Operating Office. She was accountable for leading the development of state-of-the-art technologies, design of innovative projects and creation of industrial solutions to enhance the Acea Group’s infrastructure with extra services. As CEO of the Joint Venture between Acea and Suez, her role focuses on designing, producing and marketing of an enhanced, smart measurement system for the water service.

She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Acea Elabori since December 2020, and a member of the Board of Directors at Acquedotto del Fiora since May 2022.

She held the position of Head of Public Lightning from October 2020 to November 2021.

From 2012 to 2020, she worked at Italgas in roles of increasing responsibility. She served as Head of Measurement, focusing on technological innovation related to smart meters. As part of her position, alongside her service on various Boards of Directors of Italgas Group companies, she was appointed as President of the Anigas Technical Measurement Standards Commission and Head of the Measurement Sector of the Italian Gas Committee. Her duties included responsibility for the activities concerned to natural gas distribution in Piedmont and Aosta Valley, as well as the Technological Innovation Regulation and Document Assessment.

Manuela Pagella began her career in 2001 at Piaggio &C. She later joined the natural gas supply industry at Toscana Energia, where she held several positions of increasing responsibility.

Manuela Pagella holds a degree in Management Engineering from the University of Pisa.
