Tor di Valle Plant

The heat is used to supply the district heating network for the Rome districts of Mostacciano, Torrino sud and Mezzocamino, all managed by Acea.

The heat produced at the power plant is distributed via underground pipes, and used for the remote heating of blocks of flats, shops, offices and homes.

District heating is one of the most innovative services offered to citizens by Acea. A safe service, as it does not require the installation of boilers in the buildings and individual homes, and economic as the tariffs applied are conveniently priced and the running and maintenance costs are all paid by Acea.
