Tommaso Sabato

Tommaso Sabato was appointed Chairman of Acea Infrastructure and Chairman of Simam in 2023. He was also appointed Chairman of Technologies for Water Services and CEO of Acea Ambiente in 2024.

Tommaso Sabato, an engineer, has matured a long experience at domestic and international level in the field of large-scale infrastructure, having followed the works throughout all phases: financing, implementation and management.

He spent from September 2022 to May 2023 at Autostrade per L’Italia S.p.A, as Executive Director Corporate of Amplia Infrastructures S.p.A. and Head of Interventions for Strategic Management in Construction.

From February 2020 to June 2022 he was Head of the Infrastructures and Public Administration department at CDP (Cassa Depositi e Prestiti), ensuring financial support for large companies operating in the sector of infrastructures and for the public administration at territorial level. From May 2019 to January 2020 he was Infrastructure Development Manager, again at CDP.

From November 2011 to May 2019 he worked at Astaldi S.p.A., firstly as General Manager for Concessions in Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey and later as Director of Development.

From July 2006 to October 2011 he was Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Sogeap S.p.A. – Parma Airport’s Management Company.

From October 2003 to February 2007 he worked firstly at SINA S.p.A. (Gavio Group) and subsequently at Milano Serravalle Milano Tangenziali S.p.A.

He began his career by operating as a consultant (October 1998-October 2003) with various companies, including Rocksoil S.p.A., Collini Impresa di Costruzioni S.p.A., Road Link (A69) Ltd UK.

Tommaso Sabato has also served as Board Member and Chairman of the Strategic Committee at Webuild S.p.A; Board of Directors and Control, Risk and Sustainability Committee member at Trevi Finanziaria S.p.A; Board member at Soilmec S.p.A..

He holds a degree in Engineering from the Sapienza University in Rome and has an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan.
