Our Major Projects unit is responsible for the management of the entire construction cycle of large infrastructure works, through the assumption of the role of Sole Project Manager, or Sole Process Manager for the design and implementation of relevant contracts in the environmental and water fields, and more generally for all of Acea's large infrastructure investments.

Acea renews the Marcio Aqueduct, providing 25% of the water in Rome. The first phase involves the construction of two pipelines on over 7.5 km, improving the water supply for 16 municipalities. The service execution fee is 100% Acea Infrastructure (DOCFAP; technical and economic feasibility project) and the tender-based amount is €182,809,000 (of which €6,501,000 is security costs).

The first phase of the 'Doubling of the VIII Siphon' project enhances Rome's water system, ensuring robustness and flexibility. Concrete-clad steel conduits connect the Marcio Aqueduct to the Southeast quadrant of the city.
