A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the "G. Alberti" Higher Education Institute of Benevento and Gesesa, the company managing the integrated water service in the Sannio area. The meeting was attended by: Headmistress Silvia Vinciguerra, Gesesa CEO Salvatore Rubbo, project representatives Tiziana Catalano and Melania Russo for Gesesa, Luisa Bonito for the Institute, and the fourth-year students of the "Chemistry, Materials and Biotechnology" course, who will participate in the Pathway for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO).
The project, which will be developed in the classroom, will explore industrial refinement methods for drinking water and wastewater treatment systems, with a focus on reuse for irrigation, civil, and industrial purposes.
"We firmly believe," says Headmistress Silvia Vinciguerra, "that working with local businesses is crucial our for students, especially those in their final years, who are about to enter the job market and will inevitably have to make decisions about their future after graduation. We are delighted to continue our collaboration with Gesesa, as our relationship with local companies is fundamental for the world of education."
"Our virtuous collaboration with the Alberti Institute in Benevento continues," said Gesesa CEO Salvatore Rubbo, "we believe it is extremely useful for students to be given the opportunity to put into practice what they learn theoretically during their studies. GESASA's PCTOs are designed and developed to assess knowledge in the field and, at the same time, to make it a model for future study. At the end of the path, the students will visit some plants managed by our company, to observe first-hand the practical application of what they have learned and heard from Gesesa's experts."
