Acea confirms its presence in the 2022 “Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index” (GEI), the international index that tracks company performance in terms of gender equality across five pillars: female leadership, equal pay, inclusivity, anti-sexual harassment policies, pro-women brand positioning on the part of the company.
Acea has been included in the index for the third time running, and this year obtained a score of 80.67 (on a scale of 0-100), placing itself well above the averages for the utility sector (71.21) and the sample examined (71.11), with a significant improvement of 10.18 points compared to the result achieved in 2021.
The 2021 evaluation, based on 2020 data, included a total of 418 firms from 45 countries, belonging to a variety of sectors.
Michaela Castelli, Chairperson of Acea, commented: “Acea’s presence in the “Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index” represents an important recognition of our commitment towards inclusivity and gender-equality, the core values of our corporate culture. The score obtained and the significant improvement in our performance compared to a year ago reflect the strong commitment and drive by the CEO Giuseppe Gola and the Board of Directors for the implementation of initiatives and activities designed to spread a culture oriented towards equal opportunities. This result is a source of great satisfaction for the entire Group”.
