This morning, Gesesa donated a defibrillator to G. Rummo Sports Highschool in Benevento.

The event, which took place at the entrance of the school, was attended by School Manager Annamaria Morante, Gesesa CEO Salvatore Rubbo, and Gesesa Head of Corporate Health and Safety Pasquale Schiavo.

As part of the “Gesesa SiCura diTE” campaign, the first defibrillator was donated to CARITAS in Benevento and now one is being given to G. Rummo Sports Highschool, where having a lifesaving device such as this is essential. The defibrillator was presented by the Head of Corporate Health and Safety, Pasquale Schiavo, who said: “Gesesa’s health awareness and solidarity campaign continues. A small gesture of care that can be a huge help and save lives.”

Gesesa CEO added: “a defibrillator in a school, especially one focused on sport, is a symbol of safety that conveys an extraordinary message. Such a device tells young pupils, who are rightly exuberant and carefree, that looking after health and safety is an essential part of all our lives”.

The School Manager concluded: “We have a defibrillator in the gym, but that is in a different building from the one where the classrooms are and where students and school staff spend most of their time. We are happy to finally have one also in the main building.”
