Rome, 3 October 2019 – Once again this year Acea supports Fiaba Day - the national day for the removal of architectural barriers - created by the social project Fiaba Onlus, which will be held in Rome on 6 October.
The awareness campaign of this 17th edition – coinciding with the 30 years of Law 13/1989 on the removal of architectural barriers and ten years from Italy’s ratification of the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities – is dedicated to the City I would like and to the development of a culture of urban spaces enjoyable by people with disabilities.
Acea is particularly sensitive to these inclusion issues, which play a central role in the Fiaba Onlus project, as the Group has always supported initiatives aimed at making spaces and services more accessible to the entire population. In fact, the objective of a more sustainable city is also part of this inclusion philosophy and envisages a greener city, especially one that can be enjoyed by people with disabilities, the elderly and their care takers.
