Once again this year, Acea is the title sponsor of the Rome International Marathon, the most eagerly awaited running event of the year to be held in Rome on 7 April, with the start and finish line at the Imperial Fora.
The 42 km Marathon is held in one of the most impressive places in the world.
The route of the marathon will change, although it will maintain its unquestionable fascination. The Colosseum will return to take centre stage during the marathon: starting from the Imperial Fora, the runners will conclude the race coming from via San Gregorio with the Constantine Arch in the background, before running round the Colosseum to finish in via dei Fori Imperiali. For the first time, the race begins by winding its way for three kilometres along via Cristoforo Colombo, and then continues along via Ostiense and the first section of Lungotevere.

The 42 kilometre competition will be held together with the 5 kilometre, non-competitive Stracittadina, starting from the Imperial Fora and ending at Circo Massimo.
Acea confirms its bond with the Capital and its residents by supporting an event, which encourages the healthy values of sport, such as passion, participation and sharing.
