Rome, 9 June 2014 – The Board of Directors of Acea SpA met for the first time today, following its election by the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, 5 June.

The Board meeting, chaired by Catia Tomasetti, appointed Alberto Irace as the Company’s CEO.

The Board also approved the power structure, assigning the Chairwoman, Catia Tomasetti, responsibility for representing the Company, calling and chairing Board meetings, and for External Relations and Communication, Government Relations and Auditing, and Company Secretary.
In line with the previous structure, the CEO has been assigned responsibility for all aspects of the ordinary administration of the Company and the Group.

The members of the various board committees will be elected at a future Board meeting.

The Board also confirmed Franco Balsamo as the Executive Responsible for Financial Reporting.

Today’s Board meeting also verified that the following Directors qualify as independent, in accordance with the law and the Corporate Governance Code for listed companies, adopted pursuant to art. 15 of the Articles of Association: Elisabetta Maggini, Paola Antonia Profeta and Diane d’Arras.

In the same meeting, the Board of Directors also decided to anticipate from July 29th to July 28th 2014 the approval of Interim Report for the six months ended 30 June 2014.
