Rome, 12 June 2013 – Acea SpA’s Board of Directors, chaired by Giancarlo Cremonesi, has authorised  the appointment of Franco Balsamo as ACEA SpA’s CFO from July 1st.

Franco Balsamo, 53 years old, graduated at the University Luigi Bocconi of Milan in Business Administration, started his career in 1985 working for Italian and International Credit Institutions. In 1995 he joined Montedison Group where he covered several positions in different Group companies, with increasing responsibilities. In 2002 he was appointed Edison Finance Vice President, where he stayed until 2012. At Edison he managed the financial activities of the Group and the controlled companies, acquisitions and dismissing of non-core activities and debt restructuring, and he was Board member of several national and international companies.

Franco Balsamo is Senior Advisor and Partner of Vitale & Associati SpA of Milano, with a focus on corporate finance transactions and as the advisor of large industrial groups, both Italian and international, entrepreneurs’ families and private equity funds.
