Rome, 25 January 2011 – Today’s meeting of ACEA SpA’s Board of Directors, chaired by Giancarlo Cremonesi, approved the Group’s new organisational structure and assignment of the related management responsibilities, which are to take effect from 1 February 2011.

The new structure is based on the Business Plan approved by the Board on 22 December 2010 and is designed to strengthen the holding company’s role in the governance, management and control of both the Group’s existing businesses, focusing on those capable of greater value creation, and its strategic expansion into new businesses and regions.

As part of the above reorganisation, the CEO, Marco Staderini, is to hand responsibility for operations starting from 1 February 2011 to the General Manager, Paolo Gallo, whilst maintaining direct responsibility for the Group’s strategic development.
