The award received for the ACEA Waidy® Management System project during the ceremony at the Ecomondo Exhibition
As part of the 2023 Sustainable Development Awards, ACEA received an award in the "Circular water management in collaboration with ENEA" section. The award went to the ACEA Waidy® Management System project — an acronym for Water Identity. It consists of a cloud-native, flexible, and scalable platform, integrated with the operational systems for managing the water service. The awards ceremony took place today during Ecomondo, the most important green and circular economy exhibition in the Euro-Mediterranean area. The 2023 Sustainable Development Awards, established for the thirteenth year by the Sustainable Development Foundation and Ecomondo-Italian Exhibition Group with the patronage of MASE (Ministry of the Environment), is intended for companies, start-ups and local Administrations that have distinguished themselves for their ecological innovation, effectiveness of environmental and economic results and diffusion potential.
The Waidy® Management System was created with the aim of offering an advanced tool to support the management of the integrated water cycle and to protect the water resource. It facilitates the management of water throughout its life cycle, responding to the increasingly widespread need to rationalise the usage of one of the most precious raw materials on our planet. Among the features implemented by the Waidy Management System, there is the management of water districts, the processing of data to control the volumes of water managed, the centralised monitoring of service continuity and the control of network maintenance activities.
