Acea Ato2 is awarded EUR 24.7 million by ARERA for technical service quality

Acea was the first organization in Italy to achieve success in reducing water loss. ARERA, the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment, has granted approval for the final outcomes of the implementation of the incentive mechanism for Technical and Contractual Quality of Integrated Water Service for the biennium 2021-2022. Acea Ato 2, a subsidiary of the Acea Group that oversees the integrated water service in Rome and the metropolitan area, was deemed the most efficient operator in terms of water loss reduction (indicator M1). The premium achieved for technical quality over the two-year period examined was 24.7 million euros.

In addition to the achievement of other objectives set by Arera, Acea Ato 2 itself was awarded for the improvement of drinking water quality (indicator M3).
