Standard Ethics has upgraded Acea’s Corporate Standard Ethics Rating (SER) to “EE+” from the previous “EE” with a Positive Outlook. The first Corporate SER assigned to the Company dates back to 2019. The Company is a constituent of the SE Mid Italian Index and the SE European Multi-Utilities Index.

Acea S.p.A. is an industrial group which offers integrated water services, the distribution and sale of electricity and gas, waste treatment and recovery, as well as energy production principally from renewable sources. It operates mainly in central Italy.

Alignment with international recommendations and their integration into industrial activity appear to be two constants in Acea's sustainability strategies. By means of adequate long-term planning, significant investments were made in various areas that are considered to be central to the transition towards a zero-impact economy. In this two-year period, investments have been made to meet the Italian Government's objectives funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) targets are also being implemented adequately. Extra-financial reporting is in line with industry best practices. In addition to environmental measures, other sustainability and governance of Sustainability issues are being addressed.

The long-term view is positive.
