Acea won the RSE Top Utility Research & Innovation award. The award was presented today at the Milan Chamber of Commerce as part of the Top Utility awards, dedicated to Italian excellence in the utilities sector. The Acea Group won in the Research & Innovation category for its “ability to develop research projects that apply innovative digital and cyber-security technologies to remote control systems of physical infrastructures; develop secure ICT platforms that enable widespread and small-scale utilities to participate in energy flexibility markets; and involve researchers, operators, manufacturers and start-ups in the process of technological innovation”, explains the official motivation.

Now in its eleventh edition, the Top Utility award, the leading Italian think tank in the public utility sector, coordinated by Althesys, evaluates every year the hundred largest companies in the energy, water, gas and waste sectors and acknowledges their excellence. During the awards event, the Althesys study “The performance of Italian utilities. Analysis of the 100 largest energy, water, gas and waste companies” was also presented.

This award is an important recognition of the Acea Group's constant and growing commitment to research and innovation, which are increasingly important in business choices.
