Press Releases

Tonight Acea will turn off the lights of its headquarters in Piazzale Ostiense and those of ACEA Energia in the Eur district, in Rome.

On the International Energy Saving Day taking place on Febraury 18th the Company will launch a national awareness-raising campaign on the responsible use of energy.

Also this year Acea Group supports the 2023 edition of “M’illumino di meno”, an initiative promoted by RaiRadio2’s Caterpillar programme and created with the aim of raising awareness on the issue of energy saving. Today, February 16th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Acea will turn off the lights of its headquarters in Piazzale Ostiense and those of Acea Energia in the Eur district, in Rome, as a sign of participation. Acea supports Roma Capitale, which will take part in the initiative by turning off the lights of the façade of Palazzo Senatorio for two hours.
The initiative will also take place on February 18th, on International Energy Saving Day. It represents a symbolic gesture that will see the adhesion of other Group companies such as Acea Energia, Acea Ato 2, Acea Ato 5, Acea Innovation, Acea Ambiente, Areti, Acquedotto del Fiora, Geal, Gesesa, Umbra Acque, Nuove Acque and Umbria Energy, which will join with similar actions in their offices located in Umbria, Tuscany, Lazio and Campania. The goal is to help spread the culture of using energy in a responsible way, which is fundamental especially in a moment like the one we are witnessing, where energy issues are becoming more and more important in fighting climate change.
In order to make this awareness-raising message stronger, a campaign dedicated to the importance of adopting responsible behaviours and avoiding unnecessary energy waste will promote for instance, the use of LED lights and energy-saving appliances. The campaign will be spread through the social media channels of the Group companies taking part in the initiative and through the main national newspapers.
The 2023 edition of the Acea Scuola educational project “Proteggiamo l’ambiente”, dedicated this year to Energy and Sustainability, will also be available online on Acea’s website (gruppo.acea.it) from February 20th for two weeks. This year’s edition will also focus on the challenges posed by the energy issue, going from the use of renewable energy sources to the need to reduce unnecessary consumption in daily life. The hope is for these values to spread especially among young generations.
