The initiative was carried out with ASviS at the Sustainable Development Festival

Acea, on the opening day of the sixth edition of the Sustainable Development Festival organised by ASviS—the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development, projected the colour wheel with 17 icons of the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (acronym: SDGs) on the Pyramid of Cestius.

The festival represents an important step along the path towards the knowledge and implementation of the 2030 Agenda, eight years before its expiry. The lighting project curated by Acea was created to concretely testify the commitment of the multiutility company to sustainability values and goals.

"We have chosen to support the festival again this year—said the Acea President, Michaela Castelli—by projecting the logo of the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals on the Pyramid of Cestius. Our aim is to raise, together with ASvis, public awareness on sustainability, a particularly important topic in this historical moment. Acea has always been committed to the sustainable development of its businesses, in full respect of the environment, promoting innovation, inclusiveness and contributing to the fight against climate change with all its activities".

"Projecting the logo of the 2030 Agenda, an emblematic deadline for the future of our society, on a testimony of the past such as the Pyramid of Cestius means shining a light on one of the key topics of present time: sustainability. We want to highlight the urgent need to change perspective, propose an overview to light the path towards sustainable development and start building a shared and lasting well-being", says the ASvis President, Marcella Mallen.
