Acea announces that, through its subsidiary Acea Ambiente, we are to acquire the business unit named “Polo Cirsu” (located in Casette di Grasciano Notaresco - Teramo) after taking part in the auction held by the Court of Teramo – CIRSU SpA Insolvency, Insolvency Register no. 91/2015. On termination of the auction, Acea Ambiente had submitted the highest bid, totalling €19,100,000.
The business unit consists of the “Grasciano1” landfill, which has reached its authorised capacity; the new “Grasciano2” landfill, consisting of an initial lot of 234,000 m3 and a second lot to be constructed, with authorised capacity of 246,000.00 m3; and a recycling and composting plant and a platform for the recovery of separated waste and durable goods.
The acquisition marks further progress in implementing Acea’s plan to grow the waste treatment business and further strengthens our presence in Abruzzo where we are already present through the subsidiary, Deco.
