As a supporter of environmental sustainability, having become PLASTIC FREE two years ago and signed an agreement with Ami-Ambiente Mare Italia, and considering its collaboration with the Municipality of Foglianise and the world of school, and its involvement in the H2SCHOOL project, “L’Importanza dell’Acqua per la Vita (The importance of Water for life)”, GESESA decided to donate reusable water bottles to the Municipality of Foglianise, who had requested them for the pupils of the “Padre Isaia Columbro” Institute to encourage alternatives to single-use plastic in schools and raise awareness among children and families about the importance of using less plastic.

The Municipality accepted the donation and today, 7 June, Gesesa CEO Salvatore Rubbo presented the bottles to the Municipality who immediately passed them on to School Manager Angelo Melillo to arrange for them to be handed out to children of the pre-school and primary school in Foglianise.

After the handover, Gesesa CEO concluded the event saying: “Gesesa has always been involved in activities aimed at promoting sustainability and this lovely initiative is part of that context. I also believe that sending out to the new generations the message that we must be respectful of the environment has great added value.”
