Acea  is the first Italian multiutility to make its premises available to carry out over 1,000 vaccinations per day

in support of the regional plan

Starting tomorrow, to coincide with the AstraZeneca Open Day events organized by Regione Lazio, Acea  makes available its hub in Piazzale dei Partigiani, providing a tangible contribution to the Covid-19 vaccination program. The Group, in collaboration with the Covid Crisis Unit of Regione Lazio and ASL Roma 1, in a short time was able to set up a vaccination center in the company car park. The center has 26 pre-vaccination clinical assessment stations, 15 vaccination stations, and over 60 seats in the post-vaccination observation area. From a medical point of view, Acea has made arrangements with the Paideia Clinic, which provides approximately 70 doctors and nurses per day. ASL Roma 1 ensures the availability of the vaccine, trains operators, and arranges booking and scheduling, in compliance with the guidelines provided by the Crisis Unit of Regione Lazio. Thanks to the commitment of its people, Acea  is the first Italian multiutility to make its premises available to health authorities for the administration of over 1,000 doses of vaccine per day.

The hub is one of 21 sites identified by Lazio’s Regional Health System to host the Open Day events accessible to the over 40s, scheduled for Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May, in compliance with the participation methods published on the website https://www.salutelazio.it/open-day-con-ticket-virtuale.

Starting Monday 17 May, the center will carry out the citizen vaccination program booked via the platform https://prenotavaccino-covid.regione.lazio.it/, with a possible capacity increase of 500 doses per day. At a later stage, the hub will also be available to the Company’s employees, in compliance with the participation methods and timelines set by health authorities.

The initiative is one of many actions taken by Acea since the start of the health emergency in order to ensure the safety of its employees and offer a service to the wider community. All these activities have led to obtaining the “Biosafety Trust” (RINA) certificate, in recognition of the company’s efforts to manage the risk of infections, including Covid-19.
