Bad weather conditions caused serious damage in a remote mountain area Repairs completed after a full day’s work Frosinone
The extreme weather conditions that during the night between Friday and Saturday hit the entire province of Frosinone, and the Comino Valley in particular, caused serious damage to the Canneto-Settefrati main pipeline, as a large beech tree fell due to strong winds, leaving the Municipalities of Gallinaro, San Donato Val di Comino and Settefrati without water.
The alarm was raised during the night and immediately received at Acea Ato 5 Operations Room, allowing the organization of an emergency intervention at dawn, when engineers and maintenance teams reached the remote mountain area affected. Following safety procedures and with the support of special equipment, the area was reached, and reparation works immediately organized.
Maintenance teams worked tirelessly on the work site carefully set up in an area particularly difficult to access and despite the extremely cold and windy conditions that continued throughout the morning across the area.
Work was completed in the late afternoon and the service was resumed by Saturday evening.
