At the June 17th meeting of Acea S.p.A.’s Board of Directors, chaired by Michaela Castelli, Giovanni Papaleo was appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Acea and Fabio Paris as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Both will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Giuseppe Gola.

Giovanni Papaleo, who is 53 years old and has a degree in Economics, entered the Acea Group in 2003, where he has held various positions of responsibility. At the present time, alongside his role as COO, he is in charge of the Water Segment and Chairman of Areti. The new Management, headed by Giovanni Papaleo, performs direction, coordination and control functions pertaining to the integrated water cycle, environmental services, electricity and gas distribution, public lighting and engineering service activities, implementing strategies for the achievement of Group objectives. The Management also deals with, at Group level, Procurement and Logistic processes, regulatory aspects and relations with sector Authorities.

Fabio Paris, 47 years old, holds a degree in Economics and joined the Acea Group in January 2018 where, prior to his current position, he was Head of Administration, Planning and Control. The Acea Board of Directors, during its meeting on May 29th last, appointed him Executive Responsible for Acea’s financial reporting (see PR dated 29 May 2020). He had previously covered the role of Head of Administration for the WindTre Group.
