Mountain View (California), 17 October 2019 – ACEA CEO Stefano Donnarumma has announced, during a visit to Google’s Mountain View headquarters, that the company has selected Google Cloud as its technology partner to accelerate digital innovation deployment across the business.

As part of this collaboration, ACEA intends to develop solutions that can speed up, expand and strengthen its existing strategy for innovation and digitalization, positioning itself as one of the most dynamic players in the technology acceleration scenario.

More specifically, Google Cloud will support ACEA through its Advanced Solutions Lab (ASL) program, a training program that offers the opportunity to acquire machine learning techniques through immersive training, which can then be applied to high-impact business problems.

ACEA will also explore using Google’s cloud technologies to develop innovative products and solutions aimed at improving the ACEA customer experience. A final element of the agreement will look at the optimization of ACEA Group's IT infrastructure to enhance operating efficiency, including moving some workloads to the cloud and the creation of a data lake..

As commented by the Group’s CEO, Stefano Donnarumma, during his visit to Mountain View: “The selection of Google Cloud as a technology partner comes within the activities envisaged in the 2019-2022 Business Plan, whereby ACEA allocated 500 million Euro to investments in innovation. In this way, the company significantly accelerates and strengthens the path undertaken, working alongside a leading international partner in the field of technology and digital development.”
