Rome, 18 October 2019 - ACEA has announced that, with two separate judgments published on 17 October, in reference respectively to the appeals filed by the companies ACEA S.p.A./ACEA Energia S.p.A. and ARETI S.p.A., the Lazio TAR has completely lifted the pecuniary administrative sanction, amounting to 16.2 million Euro, jointly and severally imposed on the aforesaid companies by the Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato (AGCM - Antitrust Authority), by way of measure no. 27496 dated 20 December 2018, with regard to the alleged anticompetitive practices on the market for the sale of electricity.
In admitting the appeals, the TAR pointed out the absence of unlawful behaviours as claimed by the AGCM in the above mentioned sanctioning measure, therefore acknowledging the total correctness of the conduct on the part of the Acea Group companies.
