Acea Ato 5 reports

More than 30 km of old water lines completely replaced: an investment worth almost €7.5 million.
Despite the fact that in 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic made it very difficult to carry out work as planned, especially at the start of the health emergency, Acea Ato 5 is completing the work to replace old pipes and install new lines scheduled for this year, while intervening, as and where necessary, to guarantee the continuity of the service and improve its quality.
During the first few months of the spread of the Sars-Cov2 virus, some projects were forced to slow down. However, in the following months, implementing all internal safety measures and complying with the regulations issued by the Government and other competent authorities, Acea Ato 5 was able to make up for the time lost and complete all scheduled work safely.
By the end of November 2020, more than 32 km of old water lines had been replaced across the entire area of competence, 15 of which had previously been scheduled and an additional 17 km came as part of interventions made necessary to provide a definite solution to long-standing issues with old pipelines that required constant repairs. By the end of the year, the amount invested in the work will reach a total of €7.4 million. This investment, and all the others continuously made by Acea Ato 5, provide huge benefits to the territory by reducing water leaks, improving the quality of the service provided, and lowering maintenance costs.
It is also worth mentioning that Acea Ato 5 has chosen to diversify its technical solutions in different contexts and situations, alternating between types of materials with different characteristics in order to ensure the most efficient solutions, and putting more emphasis on the choice of materials used. The new water lines are designed to last longer and perform better, even in difficult locations and extreme conditions.
Acea Ato 5 manages all stages of the water technology cycle: abstraction, transport, distribution, collection, and deputation, with the aim of constantly improving performance and service, also thanks technology innovation projects and investments. The Company manages the area of Frosinone, which includes a water network almost 5,600 km long, a 1,500-km sewer system, and 130 water treatment plants.
