Today, Acea awarded prizes to the students who won the “Acea Scuola-DifendiAMO l’acqua” educational contest, focused on saving water and protecting the territory. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, the President of Acea, Michaela Castelli, and the CEO of Acea, Giuseppe Gola. The Councilor for Person, School and Community Solidarity Veronica Mammì, the Deputy Major of the Metropolitan City of Rome Teresa Maria Zotta, and Acea Board Director Giacomo Larocca were also present at the event. Prizes went to three institutes, “Mozart”, “Via Nitti” and “Via Pincherle”, whose videos best interpreted the topic of the contest.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, students took part online, as was the case in the 2020 edition of Acea Scuola, which involved students from 400 schools in Rome and its Metropolitan Area. Many took part in the contest sending two-minute videos on the topic: “What we learned from the pandemic: protecting the environment and respecting Nature.” The winners received vouchers to purchase technical materials for remote learning.
During the event it was announced that new edition of the Acea Digital School project will start before the summer and will focus on saving energy through a multimedia experience created to raise awareness about a responsible use of natural resources among students.
