“Very Strong” evaluation based on sustainability strategies and the 2024-2028 plan.
Standard Ethics has confirmed ACEA’s “EE+” Corporate Standard Ethics Rating (SER). According to the rating agency, in its industrial planning the Acea Group’s sustainability strategy integrates and updates the international guidelines on environmental, social and governance issues. Moreover, its long-term programming is supported by investments aimed at European transition-related strategy objectives towards a “net zero” economy.
The “EE+” rating, which corresponds to a “Very strong” evaluation, also reflects Acea’s approach to sustainable finance, considered to be adequately structured. For Standard Ethics, the new ESG 2024-2028 plan targets are coherent, the standard non-financial reporting is aligned to sector best practices and the ESG Risk Management and monitoring systems have undergone additional implementations. The long-term outlook, the evaluation body concludes, remains positive.
Pierfrancesco Latini, Head of the Group’s Risk Management, Compliance and Sustainability Function, commented: “We are extremely pleased with the recognition obtained, which places us among market best practices and confirms the quality of the path undertaken by Acea. The rating assigned by Standard Ethics rewards our strategy of putting sustainability at the centre of our business decisions, as shown by our “Green Diligent Growth” Business Plan, which aims to consolidate our leadership position at national level, with a projection also outside of Italy. In order to achieve our ambitions, we are committed to constantly improving and innovating our models, technologies and processes, our governance policies and the engagement of our people. Our aim is to become increasingly key players in the ecological and digital transition, with special focus on the water transition, a strategic driver for the economic and social development of the territories.
