Press Release

Initiative in collaboration with Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. The winning short film will be awarded during the Rome Film Festival.

Acea launches the film contest "I MILLE VOLTI DELL’ACQUA", conceived with the aim of contributing, through the creation of thematic short films, to the dissemination of a greater culture on the conscious use of water resources.

The initiative, in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, aims to promote, through artistic language, an awareness-raising action on the recovery, recycling, and reuse of water in line with the actions and strategy of Acea, the leading Italian water operator.

Participation in the contest is free and open to all: you can register by August 16th at the following link: www.gruppo.acea.it/i-mille-volti-dell-acqua. Therefore, short films of any format (fiction, documentary, live action, animation, mixed techniques, etc.) lasting a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 8 minutes, projectable in HD, can be submitted by September 29th. Each participant may submit a single, unpublished work, in two versions: with and without Italian subtitles.

In a first phase, the five best short films will be selected. The latter will then be evaluated by a "popular jury", composed of all the employees of the Acea Group, and by a technical jury composed of a team of managers of the Group as well as the President and CEO of Acea and the Dean of the Scuola di Cinema del Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. The evaluation criteria include coherence between the theme covered and the contents represented (water reuse), the inclusion of elements related to the issues of equity, diversity and inclusion, the reference to artificial intelligence and innovative technologies. The two juries will select the winning short film that will be awarded and screened in October during the 19th edition of the Rome Film Fest. The Acea Group Special Prize will consist of a check for 5,000 euros that will be awarded to the first-placed work.
