The Acea Group, through its subsidiary Acea Innovation, engaged in the management of charging infrastructures for electric vehicles, has signed an interoperability agreement with Plugsurfing, one of the largest e-mobility service providers (EMSP) at European level.
Plugsurfing is part of Corpay, a global payment solutions provider. Over two million electric vehicle drivers rely on Plugsurfing solutions to enhance their public charging experience. Leading car manufacturers, charging point operators and mobility providers choose Plugsurfing for its premium mobility service available at over 700,000 charging points across Europe. Plugsurfing’s modular offering allows you to customize your customer experience with options including a white label solution, API integration, 24/7 customer support, and special pricing.
Thanks to this partnership, the two million customers who use the Plugsurfing app, installed on Renault, Nissan and many other automotive brands, can locate, book and use the over 1,600 Acea Innovation charging points active in Italy. Both companies are therefore cooperating to ensure increasingly widespread, reliable and safe electric mobility services. Furthermore, through the agreement, Acea Innovation increases its visibility by extending it to an increasingly larger European community that is increasingly attentive to environmental issues.
The company, which already operates throughout the country, in large cities as well as in small towns, serving citizens, tourists, companies and institutions, as a CPO, Charge Point Operator, offers increasingly advanced innovative services through its own technological platform called B.O.M.T.S., unique in the sector, and is positioned among the main players in the Italian green mobility market. Initiatives like this represent, in fact, a concrete contribution to the energy transition and to the achievement of the objectives established by the 2030 Agenda, such as the reduction of CO2 emissions and the use of energy from certified renewable sources to power charging infrastructures.
"The interoperability agreement with Plugsurfing - said Valerio Marra, executive president of Acea Innovation - further strengthens the Acea Group's strategy at a national level and contributes to developing a complex model of sustainable mobility, through highly technological services, easily usable and compliant with European circular economy standards."
"Plugsurfing," said Laura Lancaster, Vice President of Global EV Networks and Partnerships at Plugsurfing, "offers charging point operators who join our network opportunities to reach even more users, from the major automaker brands we supply to the many corporate fleet solutions that utilize our network well. 7We are excited to continue growing our network in Italy with Acea Innovation."
