M'illumino di Meno

february 16th 2024 Rome

On 16 February 2024, from 7 to 9 PM, Acea will turn the lights off in its Piazzale Ostiense and Viale dell'Aeronautica offices, as a sign of support to the initiative "M’illumino di Meno", promoted by the Rai Radio 2 show Caterpillar.
The goal is to draw attention on the issue of energy saving, raising citizens’ awareness on good practices with a view to the energy transition.
The other Group companies, Acquedotto del Fiora, Geal, Gesesa, Gori, Umbra Acque, Umbria Energy, ASM Terni, SII, Nuove Acque, Acea Ato 5, and Acea Molise, will also participate with similar initiatives in their respective offices, located in Lazio, Umbria, Tuscany, Campania, and Molise.

M’illumino di Meno 2024: an international edition

The 2024 edition of "M’illumino di Meno” extends its horizons and encourages international participation. This cooperation can happen through shared activities such as twinning between municipalities, international projects in educational institutions, universities and research sector, and through the involvement of company offices abroad.
To facilitate the energy transition, commitment and shared goals are essential, as air, oceans, mountains and forests do not know borders, and they need to be protected through a truly global change.

World Energy Efficiency Day

The initiative, held on the occasion of “M’illumino di Meno”, will be also repeated on 18 February, this time in the context of the World Energy Efficiency Day, established in 2005 when the Kyoto protocol entered into force.
Also in this case, lights will be turned off in all Acea Group offices, to show with a symbolic gesture the support to this day dedicated to raising the awareness of citizens on issues such as energy efficiency and saving as forms of environmental sustainability.
