Acea Camp, one of the most significant sports initiatives dedicated to young people and schooling in the Capital area, is back again this year.
The event is organized in a way that allows participants to take part in sports, leisure and entertainment activities, divided into stations, lasting approximately 50 minutes per group.
The sports disciplines chosen specifically to allow participants to both keep the recommended distance and have fun, include mini golf, dance, athletics, tennis, swimming, bowls, and table tennis. Reading, art & painting, and table football are also part of the scheduled activities.
Acea Camp is a multi-sports camp created in 2015 from an idea by Carlton Myers to promote the positive values of sport among young generations. It is dedicated to the young citizens of Rome, between the ages of 6 and 16.
Over the last few years, Acea has gradually got all the municipalities of the city involved, bringing together at the Foro Italico park more than 8,000 children, at affordable prices for their families and prioritizing those with financial difficulties.
In 2018, a second venue opened in the South of Rome, at Tor Pagnotta Sports Center, allowing even more children from the area to take part.
