The annual event Open House Rome returns to celebrate design and architecture in the Capital. For just one weekend - Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 May – it will allow public access to about 200 sites of special cultural/architectural interest with free guided tours.
Acea, Official Partner of Open House Rome, has worked "behind the scenes" to provide some of the most evocative scenes of Roma Regina Aquarum, three extraordinary places to trace the path of our most precious asset: water.
Book on the website openhouseroma.org to visit the water towers for two of the Capital's most famous fountains: Trevi Fountain and the Fontanone on the Gianicolo Hill. The third site open especially for the occasion is the canal of the Ancient Vergine Aqueduct, right in the City centre, close to Piazza Trinità dei Monti and accessed by an ancient spiral staircase, the Chiocciola.
