Acea School

2023/2024 Acea Scuola: the goal

“CentriAMO l'obiettivo #educazioneidrica# ognunodinoi” is the claim of the 2023/2024 edition of Acea Scuola, which aims to promote understanding and awareness within schools of issues related to water resources, energy transition and, in general, sustainability.

The goal is therefore to raise awareness among the new generations and provide them with the necessary tools to better preserve our planet, enhancing the commitment of each one. Educational courses are aimed at teachers and students of the Primary School and First Grade Secondary School of Rome Capital and Metropolitan City. In a second phase, the project will be made available nationwide in online mode.

Acea's initiative is an integral part of the second edition of the "Map of the educating city - a.s. 2023/2024", promoted by Rome Capital for the city's schools, and this year was developed with the educational collaboration with Edulia Treccani Scuola (Group of the Italian Encyclopedia Institute)

2023/2024 Acea Scuola: the contest

All schools participating in the project will have the opportunity to participate in the associated contest, by sending a short video contribution made by students by 30 April. In addition, this year Acea returns to face-to-face in schools to make contributions on educational issues together with the children. Interested schools may also request the support of a dedicated Acea troupe to create a sit-com directly in their own spaces. In this way, students will have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned during educational activities, developing sketches and creative videos.
For the realization of the sit-coms, a school will be selected per Municipality, based on the chronological order of the requests. All materials must be sent by 30 April 2024, they will then be evaluated by a jury that will award the Institutes three prizes for the purchase of teaching materials.

The evolution of the Acea Scuola project over time

In the previous editions of Acea Scuola, more than 11,000 young people were involved in person and over 25,000 in the digital editions. The project has then evolved over time, reaching an increasing number of students thanks to an educational format that uses multimedia tools: videos, quizzes and educational courses that have illustrated and explained the world of water, energy and environmental sustainability, while addressing the challenges related to water and energy saving.
