Governance level

Governance level: the 6 areas of intervention

The horizon set for the 2018-2022 Plan concerns the integration of sustainability criteria in corporate governance.

Governance plays a fundamental role in defining the company’s relationships, from both an internal and external perspective.
For this reason, already with effect from the 2016-2020 Sustainability Plan, Acea established and identified governance objectives to be achieved in order to bring its business organisation into line with maximum responsibility and sustainability standards.

The 2018-2022 Sustainability Plan confirms and relaunches 6 governance level objectives:

The integration of sustainability objectives as part of the system for identifying, assessing and monitoring corporate risks (Audit, Risk & Compliance)

The integrated interpretation of economic-financial and sustainability data so as to highlight the overall value generated by the Group (AFC, REAI)

The introduction to performance management systems of goals aimed at promoting impacts on sustainability (SCU)

Dissemination of a "sustainability culture", through awareness initiatives and involving internal and external stakeholders on the matter (SCU, REAI)

The valorisation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) elements in relations with shareholders and investors (Investor relations)

The interpretation of development trends in regulation, at national and European level, regarding issues related to sustainability in the sectors where the company operates (Corporate and Regulatory Affairs and Services)
