Born in Rome on 7 September 1970
Appointed Chairperson of Acea on 21 June 2018
Degree in Law, specialization course in financial law in Commercial University “L. Bocconi” of Milan.
Has experience working with major legal firms in Italy, dealing with corporate and financial markets law. Worked for the Italian Stock Exchange for 9 years, where she dealt with assisting, in close collaboration with the supervisory authority (CONSOB), quoted issuers on matters concerning extraordinary operations, price sensitive information, compliance and corporate governance. Was secretary of the scientific committee dealing with the updating of the Code of Self-Governance of quoted companies and responsible for the legal listing department entrusted with procedures for the admission and quotation of shares and other financial instruments, with proxies for delicate procedures. Was involved in consultation procedures on the sector regulations and the preparation of corporate procedures for the functioning of market management companies, supervised by CONSOB.
Expert in corporate organization and compliance, internal audits and 231 regulations.
Consultant and member of the Boards of Directors of quoted companies, standing auditor on Boards of Auditors and member of numerous supervisory boards.Author of sector publications and lecturer on various continuous education courses on corporate and financial markets law; participated in numerous conferences as a speaker. Michaela Castelli is currently the Chairperson of Sea S.p.A. and she is a member in Recordato SpA, La Doria SpA, Stefanel SpA, Autogrill Italia SpA and Teva Srl

Chief Executive Officer
Stefano Antonio Donnarumma
Stefano Antonio Donnarumma has been Chief Executive Officer at Acea since 3 May 2017, following his appointment by Acea’s Board of Directors on 27 April 2017.
He graduated in 1993 with a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.
A qualified professional engineer, he has been registered with the Order of Engineers since 1994.
After working from 1994, for approximately 9 years, in the production of motor vehicle and railway components, in 2003 Stefano Antonio Donnarumma was assigned responsibility for the management of railway vehicle production plants.  He was employed by major international groups such as TMD Friction, Bombardier Transportation and Alstom Ferroviaria S.p.A.
From 2007 he entered the sector of public services infrastructure management, joining the Acea group where he was Operations Manager of Acea Distribuzione  (electricity network) and director of ATO2 (water supply networks) until August 2012.
He then transferred to the Aeroporti di Roma Group (subsequently part of the ATLANTIA Group) in the role of Airport Management Director and Accountable Manager for Fiumicino and Ciampino Airports and Chairman of the company ADR Assistance. In May 2015 he joined the A2A group in Milan as Manager of the Networks and Heating Business Unit (responsible for all the group companies concerned with the distribution of gas, electricity, water, district heating, public lighting); during the same period he was Chairman of the companies Unareti SpA, A2A Calore e Servizi Srl, A2A Ciclo Idrico SpA and director of the LGH SpA Group.

Other activities and positions:

As a lecturer and exponent, he has been and continues to be involved in university training.

His experiences include the following:

  • Milan Polytechnic, as Mentor for Executive Master students
  • Rome Tor Vergata university, in connection with the Master in E-Procurement and English language degree courses

He is Deputy Chairman of UTILITALIA and a Member of the Board of Directors of EURELECTRIC..
