Our Leadership Model is the inspiring and reference guide for all those living in the Acea Universe to speak a shared language, target behaviour and assess the validity of actions.

This model brings together our key values, Implementation excellence, Team and Resilience, which indirectly affect the success of Acea and its staff thus promoting a company culture based on proactivity, spirit of collaboration and inclusiveness, also proposing various activities designed to enhance employee engagement, team dynamics and coaching techniques.

Acea is committed to actively involving employees so as to valorise their individuality and continuously improve the work environment. To this end, again in 2023 we initiated numerous projects aimed at promoting active and conscious participation, at the same time continuing to create moments of confrontation. For example, the project Passaggio in Acea (passage to Acea) was conceived to provide a more in-depth knowledge of the professional skills that inspire our Group, via short interviews carried out while driving hybrid and/or electric cars.

Business Process Improvement ed Innovation

Working in this area is about managing business development activities, innovative projects, process digitalization, and new services that provide added value for our customers.

The people who work in this sector aim to constantly improve the quality of the services we offer and create sustainable innovation using agile methods.

In this area, the main figures are:

Energy, operations, electric and electronics, IT, and mechanical engineers.
Experts in scientific disciplines such as physics, mathematics, statistics, and IT.

Engineering & Construction

The workers who operate in this area design, build, test and put into operation new plants.

They are also in charge of laboratory activities, testing, research and development, implementing and managing GIS systems and traditional and non-traditional engineering services in support of the operation, quality and continuity of the services offered.

Operation & Maintenance

The professionals who work in this area are tasked with guaranteeing the continuity of the services offered to customers, monitoring infrastructure and plant efficiency in connection with the different business areas of the group.

In particular, they are involved in the maintenance, development, and construction of infrastructures for the production of electricity, the distribution of water and electricity, artistic lighting, and waste treatment and valorization.

In this area, the main figures are:

Electrotechnical and electronics engineers, energy, hydraulic, mechanical, and environmental engineers, civil and operations engineers, engineering geologists, architects, and professional figures from other scientific disciplines.
Electric, mechanic, hydraulic, chemical, and electronics technicians.

Energy

The professionals involved in this area work in the energy production chain aiming to facilitate energy efficiency.

From a commercial point of view, this activity translates into providing energy on the free market and more protection for domestic users and small and large enterprises.

In the environmental area, it means being among the main players in the Waste Management business focusing on waste treatment and waste to energy.

In the water area, the activities aimed at achieving energy efficiency can involve installing smart water meters, reducing water network losses, building and automating water treatment plants, districtualizing networks, improving the technical quality and safety of water supply.

In the energy infrastructures area, this consists in designing and carrying out modernization and development projects on electric infrastructures to improve network resilience.

The people in the customer services area take care of customers putting them at the center of each process. Activities follow the entire contact journey: from engaging with new customers to activating services, following each support process all the way to issuing bills.

Business support

The staff across the different companies in the Group support all business activities.

In particular in areas such as legal, administration and finance, communications, human resources, investment and business strategy; the processes linked to sustainability and compliance, governance, procurement, IT systems and infrastructure; health and safety and cybersecurity of everyone in the Group.

In this area, the main figures are:
